Some of the best ideas are born in a rocking chair on the back porch after a good meal – and that’s exactly where Porch & Pit began. Preston Hall and his father-in-law,
Jess MacCallum, shared a simple vision: to help folks everywhere enjoy the kind of tender, flavorful meat you’d find in a fine restaurant – right at their own backyard barbecue or Thanksgiving table.

Our family loves to smoke, grill, and gather ‘round good food. Preston drew from his time in fine dining kitchens, and Jess helped make that know-how simple and accessible for everyone.
